Creative Activities
June 8 - 12 Week 10
Parents, feel free to take pictures of your child doing the activities or their completed work and email to their teacher!
Remember: Please do what you can, but be flexible if it doesn't work. If you notice that your child is struggling, try together, don't get frustrated and end with a smile.
Monday
Can you do this fun Directed Drawing from Art Hub? Can you do it without erasing?
With everything that is going on, this one is to remind us, we are all the same, kind human beings
Tuesday
Stem Challenge
Mashmallow and Toothpick Challenge
How tall can you build a toothpick tower? Can you build it as tall as your hand? What about as tall as your arm? Your leg?
Wednesday
Salt Painting
Find a blank piece of heavy paper and squeeze out a picture using your liquid glue. You can draw any bold designs or pictures/pictures.
Sprinkle your design with salt
If you don’t have liquid watercolor paints for this step, then you can use food coloring. Take some plastic cups filled with some water and place a few drops of food coloring into each cup. We used the neon food coloring in this particular project. You’ll then dip your paintbrush into the paint and gently touch the salt covered glue lines and magically watch the paint travel and mix colors.
Thursday

Stem Challenge
Rainbow Bridge Stem Challenge
Using 1 tub of play-doh to be the clouds, and up to 6 pieces of pipecleaner, build a bridge that can hold the play-doh container. Can you put some rocks in the container? How many rocks can it hold?
Friday
Origami Paper Folding
Watch as Art Hub teaches us how to fold an origami snake. Make sure you start with a square piece of paper!
