Activities

April 6 - 10 - Week 1

Parents, feel free to take pictures of your child doing the activities or their completed work and email to their teacher!

Remember:  Please do what you can, but be flexible if it doesn't work.  If you notice that your child is struggling, try together, don't get frustrated and end with a smile.

Reading                 Writing

Wednesday

Find a cozy reading spot and build yourself a reading fort!  Does it have enough light?  Is it comfortable?  Bring in your favorite stuffies and read them a story.

Make yourself a Journal to write in.  Find an old empty writing book, or find some paper and attach it together.  Decorate the cover page with your name and some fun drawings.

Thursday

Watch Lisa Mureno read "I Need My Monster", or listen to someone read you a story.  When the story is over talk about what your favorite part of the story is.  Do you prefer funny stories?  Scary stories? If you could be any character in the story who would you be?

Write in your journal.  Have you done or seen anything different lately?  Have you done something interesting or learned something new?

Try to write 2-3 sentences

Make sure it is EASY TO READ (finger spaces, neat printing) and has INTERESTING details.

Parents, our students are used to writing independently, please give them some time to try to spell what they can and do their own work - the way they would in the classroom

Friday

It is a school holiday today.  There are no specific tasks for the day, but just like every day, make sure that you do some reading!
