Math Games
Math game day is a classroom favorite - Maybe it will become one of yours at home learning favorites too!
Dice Games - Beat That
Skills learned: Number recognition, place value, and strategic thinking.
Dice needed: 2
Directions for play: Each player takes a turn rolling the dice and placing them in order to make the highest number possible. For example, if a player throws a two and a three, they have 23 or 32. Player A would choose the one they want and say "32 - BEAT THAT" The next player rolls and tries to make a number larger. If they "BEAT IT" they score a point - if not Player A gets the point. Play until 1 person has 10 points.
This little video shows it a little better if you cant understand the instructions - game play starts around 1:40
