Creative Activities
June 15 - 19 Week 11
Parents, feel free to take pictures of your child doing the activities or their completed work and email to their teacher!
Remember: Please do what you can, but be flexible if it doesn't work. If you notice that your child is struggling, try together, don't get frustrated and end with a smile.
Monday
Can you do this fun Directed Drawing from Art Hub? Can you do it without erasing?
My favorite food in summer is ice cream - one scoop is good - but more is better!
Tuesday
Stem Challenge
Paper Chain
Using only ONE piece of paper, what is the longest paper chain you can make? You can use 1 piece of paper, scissors, and tape. Can you make it go across a room?
Wednesday
Line Monsters
Draw lines from side to side of their (vertical) paper. Make the lines (zip zag, dash, swirls, waves, etc.) with oil pastels, or a permanent marker.
Paint over with watercolours, or watered down paint.
After the painting is dry, use construction paper to make facial feature on your painting! TADA!!!

Thursday
Stem Challenge
Plastic Egg Submarines
Can you make your plastic egg sink like a submarine?
Find a collection of items - beads, pom-poms, coins, really anything you have on hand to use to help sink our plastic egg submarines.
Roll a game dice to see how many of each object would go into each egg.
Guess whether or not the submarine will sink or float, and we set each egg in the water. (If your eggs have holes in the ends, you will want to use a bit of clear tape to cover them.)
Friday
Active Challenge
Spell out your name using actions that are with each letter! Good Luck! Hopefully you can get your heart rate up!
